Playing compatibility

The light-hearted game of connecting with family and friends

Compatibility has turned 15 and to celebrate we have produced a special edition of the game. And now it has enough cards and tokens for up to 8 players to play together!

Compatibility, the multi-award-winning board game, will have you laughing and chatting for hours. Players form pairs and choose from a pack of image cards (called expression cards) to show what a topic means to them (topics like: politics, friendship, love, children, school, dreams). The more matching cards a couple has, the more points they score. The winners are declared the most compatible couple!

Compatibility was our first board game. Launched in 1995 in Australia, Compatibility was invented by Craig Browne in 1991. The game was licensed to the well-known Australian game company, Crown and Andrews, for the domestic market and to Mattel International for worldwide distribution.

Winning a number of awards, including Game of the Year and the coveted Mattel inventors award, more than 500,000 copies of Compatibility have been sold. It has been distributed in 12 countries and translated into 5 languages. Compatibility remains one of a very small list of Australian games to make it to the world market.

Compatibility is now in its 5th edition.

Suitable for 3 to 8 players, ages 12 and up.
