If you have an idea for a game and would like to take it further - we salute and encourage you! Games are a terrific way to bring people together and the more we have of them the better!
We are regularly asked to give talks and to speak with inventors about the steps they can take to get a game “out of your head and onto the toystore shelves”. It's not an easy road. The steps are simple enough to understand, but often a little harder to execute. Our best advice is to keep trying! It's a little easier for us now, but it wasn't always that way (see picture above - hand making our prototypes of Compatibility).
And even though it's easier now for us to get a game looked at by a games company - there are certainly no guaranteed successes. Just because the game is good, doesn't mean it will work. So ... we just keep trying!
However, if you are just starting out, there are some things we suggest that you may like to do to improve your chances of getting your game up. This little presentation (its a series of powerpoint slides) may be of use to some of you - it outlines most of the points we suggest to avid inventors.
